For many, the term "Data Conversion" is vague and mentally filed as something that techy people do.

At Trio, we have a much simpler definition. Data conversion is taking files of information in one digital format and creating new files in a different format. There are two reasons why people choose to convert data, rather than re-creating the data: (1) The amount of source data is very large, so it would be very expensive and time consuming to re-create the data and (2) The nature of the source data involves a lot of very detailed information for which it would be easy to introduce typographical errors during the conversion and time-consuming to proof the resulting converted file.

Having said that, Trio has been in the business of converting data between different types of media, different operating systems and different applications for over 25 years. We have assembled a wide range of equipment, operating systems and conversion tools that let us provide conversion for many different needs:
Between word processing formats
Between operating systems
Between applications, e.g. starting with word processing documents, we can create searchable text for ASP.NET data enabled pages
Between database formats, e.g. converting addresses & telephone numbers into consistent formats and one database structure to a completely different structure
